We get it. Why pay for impressions?

Marketing companies across the country have the same process; they train the sales team to pitch a wide range of solutions that cater “perfectly” to a business only after wasting the business owners time scheduling meeting after meeting. Ultimately, in the end, the business owner will get the same results as every other business owner that fell for the process: limited sales, wasted money, tons of aggravation, and the famous excuse, “it takes time.” Next, the implementation team goes to work trying to get the business owner impressions, social media “likes,” a spot on the homepage on Google for roughly the cost of a liver on the black market, but what the marketing company doesn’t tell the business owner, is that after six months of spending $2,000 a month, they really don’t have much to show for it.

Who cares about placement?

Not us. We always bring what matters: leads. Businesses are slow to understand the future of online advertising is in social media. Why? Because, ever since we all ditched AOL dial-up and realized the internet had potential, companies everywhere have been at the mercy of Google, Yahoo, and a prayer that they won’t get thrown into the spam folder in email.

It’s basically this simple: monkey-see, monkey-do.

Everyone wants what everyone else has. With over 2.8 billion users, social media outlets reach an audience worldwide. Consumers are talking to their family, friends, and even strangers across the country about a purchase before it even happens. There are groups, pages, videos, and forums that drive consumer interaction. They all have to be talking about something, right? Let’s make sure consumers are talking about you.

We know, we know. Old habits are tough to break.

Yes, it’s true. The online marketing world (and all of the failed marketing companies business owners have tried) tell them the same things… they probably sound like this:

  1. You have to be on the first page of Google!

  2. Just keep paying a few thousand dollars a month, you’ll get there eventually.

  3. Direct email, we guarantee that at least 10% of whoever sees your email will click on it… (we don’t know if they will buy anything!)

  4. Please pay us $30 a lead.

Why, why, why are business owners doing this? Because they haven’t joined the revolution.
